Hi Lisa,
I know your car as we've raced with you in CSCC, didn't you have the fiesta before as well? How are you getting on this year, we've been doing other championships so have lost touch with CSCC. Anyway, the body shell is a plain, untouched FRP, it was brought by Pumabuild as a complete car and stripped for bits, Alan offered it to us at a bargain price and as we've always fancied building a FRP racer it seemed like the right car. The only problem is that I think the engine was still warm when it got sold and Alan can't remember what number she is.
The prep will begin in earnest after our last race in september and we will post pictures as we go if people are interested, we have prototyped some components already and got the cage in the workshop waiting to be fitted. It's going to be quite an undertaking as Britcar Production Cup is very competitive but we'll give it a go.
Good look at Donington by the way!
Cheers
Hi
Ah cool, sorry, didn't see your name in the post, so don't know who you are!!
Yes we had the XR2i as well, its back up for sale again with the new owner at a billy bargain price.
We're not doing too bad this year, we've had some down's, driveshaft failure when doing well overall at Snetterton, but also some up's Class win at Spa Summer Classic and also Class win and 7th overall at Castle Combe
Ross has just built up an FRP track car, hopefully he'll be out racing with us in CSCC too next year.
It'll be good to see your build pics, so definitely post them up. I'm sure the little FRP will do well, it's great handling standard, so tuned up it will be a monster.
Thanks, looking forward to Donny, haven't been out since Castle Combe in July, I'll have forgotten how to drive it!!
I'll speak to Ed see if he knows what number yours was.
cheers
