Hey guys

Looking to get my FRP now - umm'd and ahh'd about it for ages!!

Looking to do a swap for my Fiesta ST and found someone keen to do the deal

http://frpoc.freeforums.org/ford-racing ... -t500.html

Any history? Should I be worried about the mileage / blue slam panel??

Cheers

Rob

mileage seems ok for price, but the slam panel and the brake rotor upgrades would put me off! the alcon setup is rather good and by adding aditional brakets so the caliber can take bigger rotor's seems dodgy to me. Usually a slam panel painted the same colour as the body is either 1 of 2 things, 1 an original FMC car or 2 has been in an accident repair as a general rule.

cat 2 is standard from factory, not cat 1
looks to be a hole forming in the drivers side seat side bolster

the other points are covered in that post.
Unless they owned it from new it could have had a front end repair.
Painted slam panel is only on press cars, I am not aware of this beaing a rebadged press car.

Is the brake upgrade actually possible / done before?

I think the seller mislisted the car as Cat 1 and acknowledges is Cat 2 alarm....

it is possible but there is no need as the alcons are race spec anyhow. If you want more info i think pumaspeed offer the conversion

brakes have not been upgraded i used an add for some of the frp info cause i am crap at writting and it hasnt had upgraded rotors etc theyre standard. As for the slam panel i am keen to find out more myself but i cant find any signs of replacement all ford stamped and the flaps that connect slam to inner wings is grey same as the inner wings and all looks factory. The guy i bought it off colour coded the rocker cover put samcos blue on it and colour coded a strut brace and put chrome bits all under the hood. I told him to take it all off. Hope this answers any questions and feel free to let me know more.
