Hi all!

I have a question, I have a trackday soon, and at this track, there is a 95dB limit, wich will be test for each car by the police.

Somebody knows how many dB the FRP does? With the original exhaust system...

You should be fine provided you haven't got the Piper Pumabuild FRP system fitted.
That exhaust is fitted to my car and about he loudest of the FRP systems.
Mine has been recorded at between 89 and 98 DB.
You should be OK with an original system :D

I've got the piper and it is very noisy, my mate had miltek and it was much quieter.
With a standard system it had to go through homologation so should be fine

The Piper system.
The exhaust is only really loud IF you have the mark 1 version. (Dogsbody and Big boy Al for example)
Subsequently the system was changed and the Mark 2 exhaust is quieter but still quite loud.
The Miltek is a bit wishy woshy in noise I find. Did a very crude noise test one year on lots of FRPs at one event with different exhaust systems.

post amended to reflect comments that it is louder then I thought even the Mark 2

none of the piper back boxes are like the original sound kate...they are waYYYYYYY louder :D

As you say, the original one was the type they fitted to standard pumas...but when used on FRP's they were INSANELY loud!... they had the whole system copied (supposedly) close to original spec, but it's still significantly louder than the original, as mine is by far the quietest FRP iv'e heard for a fair few years now (all original)... 8)

back to the original question... It will be fine

At a meet listen to mine or Big Alan's FRP.
Kate did put a decibel meter on the cars at a meet a few years ago.
Think I was the loudest

5000 rpm lift off you were 102Db and I was 98.6Db. (I had standard OEM at that time)
Most track tests are at 3750Db and at 5000rpm steady you were 95-98Db, I was 94Db.
Another OEM exhaust was 98.6Db and 89-90Db at 5000rpm steady.
Miltek respective figures were 96Db and 91Db, so a lot quieter, hence my comments it is a wishy wooshy sound.

I'd like a full piper for mine so I can take the mild steel manifold and back box off to keep in the shed for a rainy day

To finish the topic and, maybe, help some people for future trackdays, my car has made 86dB. The micrpohone was at 45° and approx 1m from the exhaust. 8)
