You would be fine in the wet as long as you didn't drive like a nutter. Toby drives on R888's in sun, rain and even snow in his Exige, and they have even less tread pattern than the paradas!

That's proverbially why I have had problems with the Parada's then

am I right in saying they don't make these for FRP size tho Lisa..?

Iv'e got spare set of wheels now   and will be looking next spring to buy some grippy rubber for track days use....

i may just get the Parada's as they seem pretty cheap...

Looking at Camskill the only tyre that comes in FRP size is the Hankook!

If you went to 215/45/17 you could get either Toyo R888's or Yokohama A048Rs - I'm not very good with tyre sizes, so not sure how mcuh the 45 would affect the tyres, isn't that just the sidewall depth?

At the trackday I did, the Scooby in the group had the R888's at the size you mentioned.
You wouldn't believe how much higher they looked to my car's. But I suppose it could just have been the quite angular shape of the 888 creating an illusion?

The parada's are a totally different tyre to the R888 or AO48R, and provide huge amounts of grip compared to road rubber.

The tyre walls are quite straight on the 888's, I'm sure you wouldn't notice the 5mm or so difference that the 45's would add.

If it's a pure trackday tyre you are after Chris then I would opt for something grippier than the Paradas - you won't be disappointed!

i think the only issue the 45's might cause is getting extremely close to the rear arch lip....

i guess you never know till you try....could be expensive mistake .. :o

Toyo's now fitted :D Thanks Kate.
Legal again..
They seem OK, but I havn't really had a chance to push them yet.
But they are not as good as the Pirelli P-Zero's I have just taken off .

On my drive to work there is a junction where I go sharpe right and if the road is clear, I could get the P-Zero's squeeling on the limit of grip.
I did my normal this evening coming to work and had to remove part of the hedge from the corner of the splitter once I was at work.
Not a peep from them just under steer

They will just take a bit of getting used to for now.
P-Zero's £210 a pair
