Well today was the first bad day of ownership of an FRP, offside driveshaft went inner CV joint.

Can someone confirm that the driveshafts are the same as a standard Puma?? Thought they would be different as alot wider but asuming that the wheel and spacer is the extra width ???

Will get replacement part at cost price as got a mate at parts company :)

Got the car towed to my mates garage, said he'll get it sorted by Saturday.

PS Dont use Mcquires tyre shine on the floor mats, makes them look new but makes it uber slippy on the pedals!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LESSON LEARNT

Burfyboy, I'm not a fully registered member yet so cannot view post :(

Please can u paste relevant part in to this? Or better still can you tell me if standard puma driveshaft is the same as FRP?

Thinking might as well just replace whole shaft rather than just one part of it.

David,

Im not going to copy & paste the detailed info from the members section as it kind of defeats the object of having a paid members lol

The shafts however are different to standard parts, all other componets are as standard i.e. CV joints, boots etc....

£15 is a small price to pay to find out lots of useful info about your car :)

It could save your £000's in the long run ;)

Good news :D :D :D Car back at home were it belongs :D :D :D

Cheers for info on driveshaft ended up getting sorted through my mates company in the end. Not been given price but will be @ cost price so not expecting it to be to much. Mate charged me £30 for fitting (bless his cottens) so uber happy thats its not cost me to much.

Had to do some quick pruning of the tree this evening as every morning two very large fat pigeons sit on the branches taking it in turns to shart on the car  (believe its the same two who feel the need to sit on our fence and display some outrages [profanity replaced] positons :D )

Car after evening wash and a very heavy pruning session.
