My mates after an FRP, he has a limited'ish budget but as he is possibly the only one in the UK at the moment buying hopefully this wont be too much a of a problem

so what you got ????

extra intrest will be awarded to recent front brakes, stainless exhausts, press cars and LSD originally equipped cars

anything considered if the price is right except any HPI recorded cars

I know them pretty well and he has entrusted me to find him one,

the cash is sitting here for the right car, I wont mess about, but I do know what the current markets like and wont be paying over the odds

So what you got ???????????????????????????????????

Have a look at ebay FRP no 50 for sale. Tidy car Test Drove it a couple of months ago, I opted for No 117 (as it has an LSD). Starting price £5,500, no bids on it last time I looked....

0050 has had 7 previous owners - not sure why it keeps getting bought and sold so often!

Hey Vasman your overcharging the guy for that car just cos VLAD has got a new Jam(non)speed exhaust. Look on the bright side mind the price of scrap is plummeting so maybe its not a bad offer after all.

I provided phone advice to Glyn yesterday while he was out and about yesterday and felt sure he might find a car out of those that we had discussed. I think the crux is though, to any "green" FRP purchaser, one of these cars may have plucked at their heartstrings and prompted them to splurge their cash. However, Glyn has owned two FRP's now; has viewed plenty of others and knows when a car doesn't justify it's price/will be more heartache than necessary to raise to good condition.

FRP's are now in their 9th year - many of them are now rapidly going past the point where a "good detail" alone is all that will be needed to raise their condition.

If it helps potential FRP buyers find the right car, I'm beginning to think that we should have some buyer advisers that people around the UK could take with them to view FRP's. Failing that, a serious seller might consider visiting an RPOC adviser for an assessment of their car - this would surely help sell a good car?

I think thats a very valid suggestion Ed I think I recall that the RS owners club had a similar sort of idea where members were willing to view cars with potential buyers to advise on areas of problems.

I wont divulge the numbers publicaly as I dont think thats overly fair considering a couple of the car are owned by members here

suffice to say they are all on the other thread where Mark's looking for one,

bottom line is as Ed says I do know these cars well and wont pay over the odd's for one, I work for Fords as a development engineer and have been rebuilding/repairing/buying and selling cars all my life and being on my 2nd I know only too well the bashing an FRP can take on your credit card :?

at my mates budget I'm expecting to do some work be it, exhaust, cam belt, clutch, brakes, interior etc etc
so I'm not after perfect but I am after straight and most IMPORTANTLY I expect the seller to answer my questions honestly on the phone before I drive umpteen miles to see the car

although I have said it before I'll say it again as well Mileage means absoulutely NOTHING with these cars, yesterdays trip actually left me quite sad at the future of the racing Puma :|

the search continues what you all got ;) .........................................

by the way Ed, like the idea think it would work well, and

This one might interset you, No 81, 99k miles. Guy wants £4k for it. Been well serviced just cosmetics, too many for me on my budget, full respray, wheel refurb, steering wheel?? but you might be able to get it sorted cheaper than i could.
