Curious half-alcantara'd door cards in that one...besides the many other neglected items. Certainly never seen one that has had extreme exfoliation on the front wheel arches. Probably one to buy and break though.

I have seen a couple like that on the wheel arch's now, cheap respray I'm afraid :roll:


as In my experiance even the roughest of FRP's look good in pictures, That is a proper munter :lol: :lol: :lol:

As you can see, it can be a murky world shopping around at the budget end of the FRP buying spectrum.

Yep, when i first started looking and i didnt have the cash there seemed to be a couple about that looked good and were in my price range, now they seem to have jumped in price a bit and the ones in my budget are a bit ropey. FRP No50 is what started me off, i really wanted that one but by the time i got the money together it had sold. Gutted :cry:

Excuse my ignorance, but I thought the front arches shouldn't rust, I thought they were made from aluminum?

They won't rust, but they can develop powdery exfoliation - aluminium can still corrode. The item in question needs to be fairly neglected to get to this state though!

finally after veiwing another one yesterday and being messed about something chronic on another one we were due to go up and see today (another £15 on a HPI for nowt :x )


we bought one today 8) 8) 8) 8) 8)

so search over,

incidently bought the total I have looked at to 7 before buying one !!!! gentleman (and ladies ) it's a minefield out there :cry: :? :shock:

yep # 441,

which bizarelly my mate bought brand new 8)

new front brakes, new clutch, cambelt just done, full stainless exhaust, original LSD car and 59k with proper history all the way through, needs a nip n tuck here and there but it's a proper genuine straight car

happy days........................... sure Darren (dazzle) will shortly be along to introduce himself :mrgreen:

not neccesarily,

that was Darrens budget as well ;) you wont get perfect, but you should get "worth buying" :lol:

I paid considerably less then that for # 338 over a year ago ;)

but I'm sure as you already now know theres some dross out there :roll: :roll:
