I wish I had waited till now to buy my FRP.

I could have bought a press car for what I paid!
But the grass is always greener I suppose.....

I'm happy with Wugsy :D

I Know what you mean Graham - I paid the same for Geordie.

You have to look on the bright side - although Geordie isn't blue under the bonnet, he has got LSD and still only done 30K miles LOL

V6's wheels do look really shiney though !!

Sob Sob  You are trying to upset me
I have just got back from dropping Wugsy's drivers seat and steering wheel off at the upholsterers.

The seat will be back tomorrow :D
Photo's taken before, and I will have some after.

V6's seat looked nice

I see the manifold number is not a FMC one :? Why?

When you see one thats lost its original manifold like this, you realise that Dave is a lucky chap to have both bits of identity for V4 FRP.

Why re-manifold?
Was it smashed up? or are they prone to breaking? :?

The Manifold is still within 500, so did it come from a written off one?
So many questions :D

Thanks Ed that Mr Farmer at the said Puma specialist really did do me a great favour when persuading me to buy FRUP. At a bargain price as well 2 years ago. I'm very grateful to him didn't even charge me extra for the autograph.

Graham, you ask why re-manifolded - Ford intended to remanifold all the 23 press cars in the 500 batch numbering. However, a few escaped without having their FMC manifold removed.

I see Ed , just can't understand why?

The press cars were FMC manifolds and everyone knows that.
The 6 original had the V1-6 plates etc.

Oh well Henry's boys knew best :D

To make them conform with specs of the other batch of cars already with customers.

Typically press and development cars like this are crushed complete at the the end of their cycle. While they didn't do this to the FRPs, I recall Ford did actually revert to the process for the press Focus RS's.

Poor old FRUP was most disconcerted when I told him he was nearly crushed up. He's now definately not going anywhere near a Ford garage just in case someone remembers they forgot to break him up.
