Hi, i'm actually the owner of a mk1 52 plate focus and i'm looking at installing an AUX in connection through the cd changer input built into the standard Ford 6000 CD Player.

In my search i was actually directed to this site due to someone on here having done the same thing.

So rest assured, i am not a spammer, just seeking information :)

Many Thanks

To run an iPod?

If so, I bought an adaptor from connects2, similar to this:

just plug it into the aux socket on the headunit and bingo.

That's the one but the one i'm looking at is just a line in with a 3.5mm jack on the end. I was wanting to view this thread:

viewtopic.php?f=47&t=837

So i can be clear how it connects, etc. Also wondered where the best place to run the cable would be, i'm thinking into the rear of the glove box but i'm not sure how feasible/useful/doable that would be.

Sadly i still can't see the thread because it says i'm not authorised :(

You literally plug it into the CD changer interface (means you can't use a changer), drop the Connects2 unit down below the head unit, route the cable and job done.
