Hi,

I got my FRP last year and when I bought it, it needed the rear bumper re-spraying as there was pitting coming through. However I had a small accident leaving work one night causing the rear bumper to split. I have had 3 quotes to repair the damage ranging from £150 to £339 but no one fills me with confidence as they don't have a clue that the car is a FRP.

Was wondering if anyone knew of a good body shop in the Lancashire area???

Thanks in advance

Jenny

Rear bumpers were selling silly cheap on eBay about a year ago. I think I paid around £30 for the one in my loft. New ones were not making £100. There are still plenty around, unlike front ones. Have you tried Pumabuild ? Make Alan a good offer for one. He may even have a second hand one painted:-)

As long as the body shop is competent at repairing fibreglass then you should be fine. To them it'll not matter what car it is just the materials they need to use.

I had my rear bumper repaired locally and it was as good as new.

If you get really stuck with an original then there's a guy making copies.
