Alreet!

I'm Zara from Mountsorrel, Loughborough (originally from Washington in the North East :P )
Ive just taken ownership on FRP 014 on Saturday just gone and justed wanted to say hello over here :)
Probs know alot of you from the puma forums as I have just upgraded from a standard black puma 1.7 to the FRP

Drove her home from Christchurch (Bournemouth) on Saturday afternoon...car feels solid as! and thoroughly enjoyed the 3 hour ride home :D

Will be keeping it as is for the time being,
Ross, the previous owner is a good friend of mine and no expense was spared on the car, and that will be carried on, ensuring it is kept up to standard as it will be used daily!

Plans for next year are to get the steering wheel recovered and fully underseal on the underside :D

Yesterday morning I gutted the car and gave it a wash both inside and out :)...

next week will be getting it clayed, machined and waxed in time for Castle Coombe and hopefully meet some new faces :)

Hi Zara,

See you at Combe on the third.
Think we have only met once at Gaydon, a long time ago :?

I expect you know, being on the forums for quite a while, but watch the back ends in the wet.
They can let go with no warning.

Hi Zara,

Welcome to the site, I think we may have met once before..

Enjoy the new beast :)

Sounds like an awesome buy, all you'll have to do is keep on top of the usual maintenance which shouldn't be too bad at all.

Bit of an update on #014 really..

Had the N/S/R wheel bearing replaced on Friday as it was droning quite badly

New rear wishbone bushes also fitted, had an advisory on the MOT earlier this year and the O/S bush had just about perished completely!

Just need to get the tracking checked out before the winter really starts kicking in!
Also next couple of weeks will be stripping off the summer wax, giving the car a good clean inside and out and getting some collinite on for the winter months :)

In Feb I have got the FRP booked in at eldudebuild for a set of new suspension, front and rear brake service and will also be having the rear calipers done in silver :)

Afterwards I'll be having the bits of rust treated on the arches and door sills - both sides of the car will have a complete respray which will tidy up the blow over (wasn't a great one unfortunately) and then back to the 'dude' for rust proofing underseal, handbrake cable and gearlinkage replacement :D

Tis all for now! will get som more pics up for the winter prep!

Thats sounds like a perfect plan of action Zara!

To complete the job it would defo be worth getting a reconditioned set of front wishbones from Chris as he does a really good exchange 8)

When having the suspension changed make sure you get some new front top rubber mounts, as this is the only part missing from a new FRP set 9and they make a huge difference). http://www.eurocarparts.com/ecp/c/Ford_ ... 96586&MTGK

Thought about changing the drop links and track rod ends while its all apart too?

cheers Rob :D

I'll let Chris decide when he has it apart - the cash will be there after Christmas so if it needs doing and he recommends it... it shall be done :D

Can't wait - be sorted just in time for the Ring trip and the Track time i'll be doing at shows :D

oww..chris goes to find his pen, paper and calculator..lol

I changed my drop links whilst doing the front struts...definalty worthwhile..the bottom nut is a nightmare on old ones when the strut is in the way.. :x

Whilst the rear trim is out, you may want to think about one of my rear bin converisons.. 8) the sound iv'e got out of mine now is pretty amazing!! and i'm not just talking loud either... but a nice meaty quality sound..

I'll be giving Burford a demo on Sat after our bacon sarnie..
