Hello

I'm a French guy of 22 years old, and I had owned 2 puma yet!

At first, sorry for my poor English... It's a school language for me and I wasn't the best... ^^

My first Puma was a broken 1.4, so I rebuild her to have a Puma as a first car. She seems like that after accident:

And like that when finished:

After, I sold it for an 1.7, with a bit of preparation, like FRP inlet manifold, full mulltek exaust with 4-2-1 manifold... She was like this, without the adjustable dampers AVO :

Now, I own a Honda S2000 :

But the ultimate Puma is always in my head, so I try to sold my S2k and buy an FRP to import it in France (it would be the second FRP in France.) I have seen some FRP in European or French meet, and they are really nice...

So, I register me here to read a lot of thing about this fabulous car, because there isn't a lot of information in France... :-(

Thanks!

Yes, we installed a interior like an FRP, but not a real one, in his Puma.

He sold the Puma many years ago, and it's a friends who have buy the car and paint it in white. :)

Hi,

I'll have a service to ask to someone of you ...

I have called Ford France today, to ask them if it's possible to have a certificate of conformity for an FRP. They said that if the car dating from after 1997, normally it's possible to have one. But they have a doubt because the FRP is really special car (limited edition, very modified and only in England), and they need a VIN number to confirm that...

So, I wonder if someone can tell me his FRP VIN number...It's just for confirmation with Ford France, no documents will be issued with that VIN number...

If a person is agree to give me that, you can PM me...

Thank you very much

FRP's do not have anything special on their log book, so it would come up as a 2000 puma using the VIN - it was converted after it was registered, so I can't see you having a problem if you are looking to import, especially if there is already one in France.

I'm not sure many FRP owners would be willing to share their VIN number with you!

Yes I know that it's not easy to share it...

If the serial is not modify after the convertion, it's perfect for me! 8)

Thanks!

Hi Wooshi and welkom here
What im askin myself is if there is a frp in France, how did he git it registrerd or is she stil on englisch plate's?
The problem you have is that the frp have a vin number of a normaly puma, in England they made changes on suspension, brakes and power, and thats what gives problems to get it licend in france, a guy in germany has to pay aboud €3000,- to get it registred and had to fit a diferend exhaust.
I was the lucky one I just payd some tax and licence cost.
What you can do is to check the licence agency if there is a rule to take a car over one on one in the E9 agrement, thats what they do here in Holland.
Good luck mate to get one to France, because I stil remember the smile on your face when you drove along in my car.

Hello Harry! Happy to see you here! :D

If the Vin number is a normal one, it would don't take problem to import one! As I have a VIn, I will call Ford France now.

Just the insurance to view, as it's not a standart puma.
In France, we have a Tax power for the insurance, and I don't think that the FRP has one... (Puma 1.7 = 125ps and 8 Tax power, Focus RS1 = 14 Tax power, for example...)

Thanks for information!
